    Louisiana police identify driver in deadly 18-wheeler crash

    BATON ROUGE, La. ( BRPROUD ) — Baton Rouge police identified the driver who was killed in an 18-wheeler crash on I-10 East Monday morning.

    According to police, Jamoliddin Tokhirov, 38, was driving a 2022 Freightliner Semi Tractor headed east on I-10 near the Highland Road exit. Investigators said, for unknown reasons, the tractor-trailer hit the inside concrete barrier and traveled across lanes before striking the concrete guardrail and the outside guardrail.

    Tokhirov was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
