Predicting the LSU Tigers' Offense Two Deep Depth Chart amid fall camp for 2024 college football season

The 2024 LSU Tigers' offense is obviously going to look quite a bit different than last year. It hurts to lose Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. all in one off-season given they were all first round talents, but the offense still looks deep heading into the 2024 college football season as fall camp is underway.
It's time to predict the two deep depth chart as the season is getting near to take a look at each position on the LSU offense and the key depth behind them. Let's dive in.
2024 LSU Two Deep on Offense
Quarterback
Garrett Nussmeier
Rickie Collins OR AJ Swann
Garrett Nussmeier has been waiting patiently for over three years, but it's finally his time to shine. He's been looking sharp all off-season and should be one of the best QBs in the SEC from the start this year. In case you missed it, here's some of his best throws from the spring game this past April in the post below.
Behind Nussmeier there's been a quarterback competition between the dynamic dual threat Rickie Collins and the more experienced AJ Swann (transfer from Vanderbilt). The spring began with Swann looking like he had an edge, but not after the spring game where he struggled. Collins likely ends up owning the backup spot thanks to his more versatile, explosive skill set.
Running Back
Josh Williams
Kaleb Jackson
Josh Williams has been a reliable running back at LSU for four years now who can contribute in every facet of the game. Thus, he'll likely get the nod to open the season. However, Kaleb Jackson is the much more powerful running back with a higher upside to what he brings physically. Jackson eventually takes over the starting role this season. Behind them, true freshman Caden Durham should provide some unbelievable track speed if LSU wants home run play potential.
Two wide receiver roles are pretty locked up as the 2024 college football season approaches for the LSU Tigers. Kyren Lacy is going to be the do-it-all outside-inside wide receiver this fall. Aaron Anderson will be the shifty mismatch out of the slot. Those two roles are set.
The true "X" outside wide receiver role is likely a battle between CJ Daniels and Chris Hilton Jr. and that might continue into the season. Daniels is a much more proven, experienced, productive wide receiver coming off a season where he put up over 1000 yards for Liberty. Hilton is the in-house talent that fans would love to see finally get his shot in an expanded role. Daniels likely eventually wins out as he brings a balanced skill set to win vertically, in contested situations, and over 1600 snaps of experience.
Mason Taylor has been a trustworthy option for two years now, and will be that yet again this fall as the near every down tight end for LSU. There's actually an outside chance he emerges as the team's de facto WR1 or WR2 in a massive breakout season given his athletic potential and opportunity to snag more targets this year.
Mac Markway is the backup for now, but was frankly rather disappointing in most every way last season in his limited action. Ke'Morreun Pimpton and true freshman Trey'Dez Green could both push for tight end snaps over Markway by midseason.
Offensive Line

C - DJ Chester C - Coen Echols
RG - Miles Frazier RG - Christian Stamps
RT - Emery Jones Jr. RT - Tyree Adams
The true strength of the 2024 LSU offense might be the offensive line. The team returns four starters from a year ago with the exception of center Charles Turner, so the unit shouldn't struggle with chemistry.
Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr. may be first round picks at offensive tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft. Both Garrett Dellinger and Miles Frazier have over 1500 snaps of experience at guard. The only question mark will be second year player DJ Chester moving into the starting center spot. He possesses great movement skills for a 6'5", 300-pound center, but is incredibly unproven. Chester did log almost 100 snaps at center last year getting his feet wet there, but he'll need to step up big time this fall.
