BATTLE CREEK - It is time to celebrate Pride in the Cereal City.

Here's what you need to know about the 2024 Battle Creek Pride Festival, according to the event's website.

    Thursday: LGBT Q&A

Time: 7-8 p.m. at the Miller Stone Building

"We’ll kick off Pride Week with our favorite queer trivia game show, LGBTQ&A. Join us as we laugh, learn, and cheer on 16 brave contestants during a fun, PG-13-rated evening of straight answers to not-so-straight questions, sponsored by New Story Books," according to the festival's website.

    Friday: Pride Parade

Time: Kickoff at 7 p.m., traveling down Michigan Avenue from Washington Avenue to Commerce Point.

"We’ll take over downtown Battle Creek during our annual BC Pride Parade. Come join in the colorful fun with floats, music, animals from Over The Rainbow Zootopia, and afterward, we’ll be dancing in the streets with a cool drag show."

    Saturday: Pride Festival

Time: Noon to 8 p.m., with an After Glow Dance Party until midnight, at Leila Arboretum.

"It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s more fantastic than ever – with over 70 vendors, six food trucks, three live bands, two incredible drags shows, a beer garden, the Meijer Kids Zone complete with crafts, games, prizes, and an awesome petting zoo by Over The Rainbow Zootopia. And stick around for a cool sunset After Glow Dance Party presented by Club Vortex! Convenient Festival parking is only $5 per car, and the Dance Party fee is just $15 per person."

    Sunday: Candlelight vigil

Time: 8:30 p.m. at the Pride Resource Center, 104 Calhoun St.

"Help us remember those we’ve lost over the past year with a special Candlelight Vigil. We’ll light candles, listen to speakers, and enjoy conversation and refreshments afterward."
