BATTLE CREEK — Get ready foodies, there's a new festival coming to town.

The Battle Jacks and Outlier Events are bringing Battle Creek's Taco and Tequila Fest to MCCU Field Aug. 3. This event joins their roster of festivals such as Donut and Beer Fest and Piepalooza.

Denny Smith, Battle Jacks' general manager, said Outlier Events has hosted the tacos and tequila event previously in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Traverse City, as well as Wisconsin and Ohio ballparks.

"We thought it was time to bring one of our staple and best events to Battle Creek," he said.
