Buyer Beware: 3 card skimmers found in Elizabethtown. Devices now being placed in retail stores, restaurants, ATMs
Credit/debit card skimmers are being found by law enforcement in Kentucky and eastern Indiana, and three of the devices were recently discovered in Elizabethtown. “We’ve had at least 3 cases in the last few months of skimmers set up in local retail establishments at self check-out and even staffed check-out counters,” the Elizabethtown Police Department said.

Martignetti and Campari Teams Tour Kentucky and Mexico
Teams from Martignetti Companies and Campari America traveled to Wilderness Trail Distillery in Danville, Kentucky, in late May for an immersive brand education experience. The group enjoyed guided tours and private tastings that showcased the brand’s whiskeys, which include Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Small Batch Bottled in Bond Wheated Bourbon, High Rye Bourbon and Rye Whiskey. Established in 2012 by Shane Baker and Pat Heist, Wilderness Trail Distillery specializes in making its unique bourbon, rye and vodka using locally grown grains. Martignetti Companies hosted a second trip for sales team employees to Casa Espolòn in Arandas, Mexico, in June. The tequila, from within the Campari America portfolio, is produced by Casa San Nicolas in the Los Altos region of Jalisco. The group traveled with Campari America’s Connecticut State Manager Gary Dritschler to experience the tequila production firsthand, exploring the working agave fields, as well as the distillery. Master Distiller Jesus Susunaga Acosta led the tour and concluded it with a tasting of all the distillery’s offerings, which include Espolòn Blanco, Reposado and Añejo tequilas, each 40% ABV, all handcrafted with single-sourced 100% pure blue Weber agave.

According to LMPD Interim Chief Paul Humphrey, a trouble call came in about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to the 6600 block of Eagle Wood Drive, which is off Dixie Highway and Moorman Road, not far from the Gene Snyder Freeway.
