Baxter Co. sales tax sees increase for June, slight decrease for City of Mountain Home
Sales tax numbers for Baxter County are up for June while the City of Mountain Home sees a slight decrease. According to Mountain Home’s Director of Finance and Treasury Alma Clark, the city collected a total of $560,285 in city sales tax revenue for June which is an decrease of 1.1% for the month. Year-to-date, the city has seen a total increase of $74,492 or 2.2%.

A Midway man has been arrested and is facing 11 charges after allegedly threatening his live-in girlfriend and her children with a machete. One dead after car found in Norfork Lake
The body of an unidentified male and a vehicle were recovered from the Pigeon Creek arm of Norfork Lake on Thursday afternoon. Law enforcement officials were dispatched to the Pigeon Creek Public Use Area shortly before 1 p.m. after receiving a report of a car in the water. Authorities located the vehicle submerged near the causeway.
