Little Rock, AR – Arkansas residents are set to experience extreme heat today, despite a recent cold front bringing slightly cooler and drier air to the region. According to the US National Weather Service in Little Rock, temperatures will remain normal for this time of year, though still considerably high compared to the unusually warm weather experienced earlier. The heat index values are predicted to reach dangerous levels in some parts of the state today. Morning temperatures will range from the mid-60s to low 70s, with places like Little Rock seeing lows of around 70°F.
