Stockton: Man Fatally Shot Early Thursday Morning

A 33-year-old man was fatally shot early Thursday morning in Stockton.

Police said they responded at 2:22 a.m. to a person shot in the 100 block of East Iris Avenue.

The man was located at the scene and taken to a hospital. He later died from his injuries, police said.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office did not release an identification of the man yet.

Police have not released a possible motive or any suspect information in connection with the shooting.
