Santa Clara Co.: Update: 'Pacheco Fire' Southeast Of Gilroy 90% Contained At 8 Acres

The Pacheco Fire burning southeast of Gilroy on Wednesday has been mapped at 8 acres and was at 90% containment as of 9:15 p.m., Cal Fire said.

The vegetation fire is burning near state Highway 152 and Bloomfield Avenue and was first reported around 5:30 p.m.

Forward progress of the fire was halted just before 6 p.m.

Crews continue to secure control lines and are in "mop up" mode, Cal Fire said.
