Daytime highs will be mostly in the 70s to upper 80s on the coast, upper 70s to 90s around the bay, and upper 90s to 100s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the 60s.

Forecasters say the heat will decline a bit on Friday, with temperatures 3 to 5 degrees cooler than in the past days. Despite the cooling, HeatRisk is still elevated and temps will still be near record levels.

According to the NWS, the heatwave peaked in the last couple of days but impacts from Moderate to Extreme HeatRisk at times will be felt into the weekend. Until 11 p.m. Saturday, Excessive Heat Warning is raised over the San Francisco Bay Shoreline, East Bay Interior Valley, Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara Valley, and interior Monterey County.

Until that same time, the North Bay Interior Valleys, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast are also under Heat Advisory.
