Four people ran inside a Walnut Creek jewelry store last week, used sledgehammers to break display cases, and stole purses and jewelry from the store.

Police said the suspects then fled in a silver sedan headed south on North Main Street.

Police said the robbery occurred at 4:50 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of North Main Street.

An employee sustained minor injuries from the broken glass and was treated at the scene.

Witnesses told police the suspects were males wearing sweatshirts, gloves, and face coverings.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call Walnut Creek police at (925) 943-5844 or call the anonymous tip line at (925) 943-5865.
