Long time coming: Bay County commission approves beach restoration project in Mexico Beach
MEXICO BEACH — Bay County commissioners on Tuesday approved a contract for a beach renourishment project in Mexico Beach. The project will cost more than $27 million and will be funded by the Third Cent Tax Trust Fund. The trust fund will be fully reimbursed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Community Block Grant Disaster Recovery.
