    Coastal Alabama Community College has brief lockdown after threat report

    BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — Work is back to normal at campuses of Coastal Alabama Community College after a brief lockdown Tuesday morning. Chief communications officer Sara Davis said Loxley Police contacted them about a potential threat to campus. She says, out of an abundance of caution there was a lockdown of about 10 minutes before police determined there was no imminent threat. This all started shortly after 7 Tuesday morning.

    Text messages forwarded to News 5 indicated the short lockdown covered the Bay Minette campus, Fairhope, Coastal Alabama Aviation Center, and the Academy at the Airport. It’s not clear what the nature of the threat was.
