Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is now the only hospital in the Panhandle to offer Level I trauma care after achieving the standards required by the Florida Department of Health. Sacred Heart Pensacola is now one of only 11 hospitals to offer Florida Level I trauma care and it is the only hospital in the country to operate as a Level I trauma center for both the states of Florida and Alabama.
