Positive Pathways is hosting a Back to School Bash
VICKSBURG, Miss. – Positive Pathways is hosting an annual Back to School Bash complete with giveaways, music and fun for the family. Positive Pathways is a behavioral and mental health clinic in Vicksburg dedicated to helping the community. The clinic focuses on healing families and individuals by utilizing personalized teams of therapists and support specialists. Therapy teams create schedules tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs. They’ll even travel for home and school visits when it’s convenient to clients. Additionally, they always check in on patients with regular phone calls.
Clinton students head back to class to start the new year
CLINTON, Miss. — Monday is the first day of class for students in the Clinton Public School District. More than 5,000 students began the 2024-2025 school year at the district’s nine schools. Director of Communications for the district, Robert Chapman, said there are big expectations for the year.

Traffic stops lead to drug arrests by Union Police, Newton County S.O.
UNION, Miss. (WTOK) - A man was arrested early Monday at a safety checkpoint at the intersection of Hwy. 15 and Hwy. 492. Officials said 47-year-old Chad Neese was driving with a suspended license, and a search of his car turned up a vial of liquid fentanyl, a syringe of what is believed to be liquid methamphetamine and strips of suboxone.
Current Ole Miss running back graded higher by some NFL teams than former player
When star running back Quinshon Judkins transferred out of Ole Miss, concerns were raised about how the team would cover the loss at the position. Current Ole Miss running back Ulysses Bentley IV may have taken fewer carries than Judkins did last season, but he was more productive than him. Bentley IV had 1.4 more yards per carry than the now Ohio State running back, Judkins.
Kosciusko Tries for Federal Affordable Housing Grant
KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Kosciusko is again applying for a federal grant that could help people who are having trouble affording housing. Mayor Tim Kyle tells Breezynews the city will try again to get the HOME Grant, which is administered by HUD, through the ten planning districts around Mississippi. He said the state gets about $3 million annually, to be divided by just a few communities.
