Grasonville teacher is state finalist for Presidential Award
Lisa Herckner, a third-grade teacher at Grasonville Elementary School, has been selected as an outstanding candidate for this National Award by a State Selection Committee. The White House will announce the recipient of the Presidential Award later this spring. Mathematics Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction Amy Smith said, “Ms. Herckner is always exploring new ways to engage her students and foster discussions to deepen their understanding of mathematics.
