Man paid $50 dollars to attack kidnapping victim found guilty of assault and robbery
Syracuse, N.Y. – A man who was paid $50 to attack a man who was later held for days and tortured was found guilty Friday of participating in the brutal assault. Quincy Williams, 29, was convicted by the jury of first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, prosecutor Alphonse Williams said Friday.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The number of shots fired incidents in Syracuse tripled in a week and appear to stem from beefs between rival gangs, police said. In seven days, there were 36 shots fired incidents in Syracuse, according to Syracuse Police COMPSTAT reports. That’s compared to 12 shots fired incidents the week before.
