Driver dies in Little Road crash
NEW PORT RICHEY — A 36-year-old New Port Richey man died of injuries after a collision the evening of Aug. 26, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A Ford Focus driven by the New Port Richey man was traveling south on Little Road. The other vehicle, a Nissan Xterra, driven by a 27-year-old Tampa man, was traveling north on the same roadway.

Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with school bus
TRINITY — A 16-year-old male from Odessa suffered serious injuries Aug. 26 after his motorcycle collided with a school bus, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling east on Trinity Boulevard about 3:22 p.m., FHP said. A Pasco County school bus transporting 42 middle school students, driven by a 62-year-old Land O’ Lakes man, was traveling east ahead of the motorcycle.
Zephyrhills Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Firearm Possession Charge
A Pasco County resident has entered a plea of guilty after being charged with illegal possession of a firearm, given his status as a convicted felon. James Vega Jr., 28, from Zephyrhills could be looking at a sentence of up to 15 years in federal prison, with a trial date pending further notice, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
