    BAYONNE, NJ - Thousands of people poured into the 16th Street Park for an early Fourth of July celebration Tuesday.

    With plenty of attractions for adults and children, including inflatable rides, a variety of food tracks, and live music by The Suspects, a popular shore band whose founder is from Bayonne, the celebration was highlighted by a fireworks display that had the crowds cheering.

    Council President Gary LaPelusa, dressed in an American Flag shirt, helped lead the festivities with Assemblyman William Sampon and Councilman Loyad Booker on hand to celebrate the nation’s birthday a few days early.
