MILFORD – The upcoming school year is coming quickly and parents are scrambling to get the supplies they need for their children to be ready for the classroom.

For some parents, this can be financially difficult. That is why La’Reka Marshall of Project Soulful & Rare Air LLC has partnered with All in the Wrist barbershop for the Back to School Drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at All in the Wrist, 645 N. DuPont Blvd. in Milford.

Ms. Marshall said she wants the community to have someone that they can count on for something like this.

“I just want to make sure that the children in the area know that there is a resource out there for them to get things. Because of the calls and inboxes I have been getting in the community, someone needs help,” said Ms. Marshall.

Donations of backpacks and school supplies were donated by Perfect Outdoor Living and Holiday Lightning.

As someone who was the mother getting her children ready for school, Ms. Marshall is more than happy to help other families who are in need.

“Just knowing that there is a resource out in the community to be able to help the children have a great first day of school, to know how the parents worry about how they are going to get bookbags or supplies,” said Mr. Marshall. “There are so many parents out here that can’t

“And once upon a time, I was one of those parents.”
