Worker killed in pile driving accident at Prime Hook beach

DOVER — Delaware police confirmed an unidentified 30-year-old man from McHenry, IL was killed in while performing pile driving work in the area of the 29000 block of Pine St., Milford.

Troopers report being dispatched to the scene around 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 24, who then called in the Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit, to evaluate the scene. Police said this is an active investigation and will not be releasing details of the man’s injuries.

Another person, identified only as the operator of the pile driver, was transported to the hospital.
