Imagine … a little bit scavenger hunt … a touch of challenge … a dash of detective work… and a lot of fun… all right here in downtown Dover! It’s the Amazing Chase!!!
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, this event, sponsored by the city of Dover and M&T Bank, promises all participants an evening of networking, challenge, and fun as they comb our downtown area in search of clues.
The CDCC member merchant participants will enjoy a great way to showcase their businesses and help everyone understand all that downtown Dover has to offer.
For $75, teams of three will participate in a fun-filled evening in downtown Dover by traveling by foot to various chamber merchants where they will either solve a clue or complete a challenge. Once the teams have completed all the clues/challenges on their assigned route, they will then race back to the finish line to log their time. The race will start and finish at the Grey Fox Grille.
At the end of the race, a prize will be awarded to the team that successfully completes the clues and/or challenges and manages to finish first!
A variety of Downtown Dover merchants have already registered for this event. Shhh! To list the name of these businesses would be to give away the answers to the clues! All proceeds from this event will benefit the CDCC.
This year, for the first time, we’ll be combining this event with our September Sunset Business Mixer, held at The Hive on Loockerman (28 W. Loockerman St. in Dover). Owner Chevonne Boyd, and her team are eager to welcome us to Dover’s newest event venue.
