DOVER — The Labor Day weekend isn’t just about the unofficial end of summer; it also marks the opening of several Delaware hunting seasons.

On Sept. 1, bow and crossbow deer season opens as well as resident Canada goose and mourning dove season. On Sept. 2, coyote season opens.

Later in the month, teal season opens Sept. 14, with grey squirrel season opening on Sept. 16.

According to a DNREC release, the opening dates listed in the Hunting and Trappers guide are incorrect.

Information on hunting licenses, the state waterfowl stamp and the Conservation Access Pass can be found at de.gov/huntinglicense or by calling the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Recreational Licensing office at 302-739-9918.
