REHOBOTH BEACH — The League of Women Voters of Sussex County DE will host Joann Kingsley, Voting Rights Advocate for the Community Legal Aid Society on Sept. 18, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, 19815 Coastal Hwy.

The program will focus on advocating for the rights of people with disabilities in the voting process.

Ms. Kingsley’s role at Community Legal Aid Society includes advocating and monitoring accessibility in registering, accessing the polling places and voting equipment, and facilitating the ability of disabled people to cast a ballot, according to the league.

It also involves outreach activities to people with disabilities, families and caregivers, legislators, election officials, poll workers, and the community at large about the voting rights protected by federal and state law, the league said.
