DOVER — Because of a conflict with Delaware’s primary election, the Sussex Preservation Coalition has rescheduled its regular monthly meeting to Sept. 11 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave.

A presentation to explain the roles and responsibilities of Sussex County government in land use, as well as the process to change existing rules and regulations is planned, according to organizers.

“If we want to change the current land use practices, we must first understand how we got here, and who is ultimately responsible for change. Then, instead of barking up the wrong tree, we can focus our efforts toward saving the tree and the forest,” Jill Hicks, coalition president, said in a release.

An update on the Northstar development, a celebration of the perimeter buffer ordinance and the unveiling of a new website are also planned during the session.
