Cape State Park named Delaware's favorite makeout spot

LEWES — In a nationwide survey, 3,000 couples were asked by datingnews.com to recommend the best makeout spots, and Cape Henlopen State Park was rated No. 34.

“This park offers scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean, sand dunes, and a historic lighthouse. The serene beach environment and beautiful ocean views make it perfect for a romantic outing,” a news release states.

Two other Delaware locations were mentioned: Brandywine Creek State Park in Wilmington ranked No. 105, and the Route 9 Coastal Heritage Scenic Byway came in at 149.

The top three spots were the Hana Highway in Hawaii, the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and Pikes Peak Highway in Colorado.
