Delaware Convention of States to hold candidate forums in October

The Delaware Convention of States is hosting a series of town halls this month that will feature  candidates vying for seats in Delaware’s General Assembly.

The nine events are open to the public and will take place beginning Wednesday, ending on Oct. 26.

“The primary goal of these Town Halls is to ensure the public understands how each candidate, if elected, plans to serve the community,” said Ginny Watkins, the organization's statewide director.

Audience members can submit questions, and the respective moderator will use the questions to facilitate conversation while allowing each candidate to offer their stance on the topic presented.

The events will take place as follows:

• On Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m., the 6 ^th , 12 ^th and 13 ^th House District candidates will meet at the Brandywine Hundred Library: 1300 Foulk Rd, Wilmington, DE, 19803
• On Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m., the 29th, 32 ^nd and 34 ^th House District candidates will meet at American Legion Post 2: 835 S Bay Rd, Dover, DE, 19901
• On Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., the 24 ^th , 25 ^th and 27 ^th House District candidates will meet at the Bible Fellowship Church of Newark: 808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702
• On Oct. 17, the 36 ^th House District candidates will meet at the Milford Senior Center: 111 Park Avenue, Milford, DE, 19963
• On Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. the 14 ^th and 20 ^th House District and the 6 ^th Senate District candidates will meet at the Lewes Library: 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, DE, 19958
• On Oct. 22 at 6 p.m., the 7 ^th and 10 ^th House District and 2 ^nd Senate District candidates will meet at the Claymont Library: 400 Lenape Way, Claymont, DE, 19703
• On Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m., the 19 ^th , 21 ^st and 22 ^nd House District candidates will meet at the Hockessin Library: 1023 Valley Road, Hockessin, DE, 19707
• On Oct. 24 at 6 p.m., the 4 ^th and 41 ^st House District candidates will meet at the Millsboro Fire Hall: 109 E. State Street, Millsboro, DE, 19966
• On Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m., the 8 ^th and 9 ^th House District candidates will meet at the Appoquinimink Library: 204 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE, 19709
