    Thursday's Downstate scores: Caesar Rodney downs Polytech in North field hockey

    CAMDEN — Sophomore Leah Brown scored twice in the third quarter as Caesar Rodney High blanked Polytech, 4-0, in Henlopen North field hockey on Thursday evening.

    The Riders led 1-0 at halftime before tallying three third-quarter goals as they improved to 3-2 in the North, 5-6 overall.

    Senior Addison Plews scored CR’s first-quarter goal with junior Ella Brown adding one in the third. Senior goal Temperance Haupt made three saves for the Riders, who held advantages of 16-3 in shots and 15-2 in corners.

    Freshman goalie Sabrina Siaca stopped 12 shots for the Panthers.
