We are getting to the point where it would be a surprise if Jadon Sancho didn't move to Chelsea.Talks have progressed so far, even to the extent of the kind of fee that will be paid at the end of a season-long loan.It is hard to imagine the transfer not going through now.

It is worth thinking about the players who have left Manchester United since the end of last season.Alvaro Fernandez, Mason Greenwood, Hannibal, Willy Kambwala, Scott McTominay, Maxi Oyedele, Facundo Pellistri, Donny van de Beek, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial.There is sadness at McTominay's exit, the obvious cloud that surrounded Greenwood and disappointment Varane couldn't stay fit for long spells but apart from that, can anyone truly argue those players were of the standard required to take United back to where they wanted to go?They still have some way to go - and a number of players who are not good enough. But you do start to get the feeling there is a focus at Old Trafford that has been missing for too long.Where it will take them? I am not sure but in terms of player sales, United have had a good window.

Ryan Flynn has joined Scottish League 1 side Arbroath from St Mirren.The experienced midfielder, who signed for the Buddies back in 2018, lifted the Championship trophy with the side that same year. He went on to play a pivotal part in their rise over the last few years and grew to be a fan favourite. The 35-year-old's contract ended in Paisley at the end of the season, but he had been training with the club before signing for managerless Arbroath.

St Mirren have completed the signing of former Motherwell striker Kevin van Veen on loan until the end of the season.The 33-year Dutchman arrives from Groningen, having spent the latter half of last term with Kilmarnock.During that spell, he failed to score in 13 appearances, but contributed 29 in 44 games with Motherwell in the previous campaign.

Fulham can look forward to a "great season" after the loan signing of Reiss Nelson concluded the club's transfer business.The 24-year-old joined late on deadline day on a season-long deal.Tony Khan said: “I'm very happy to welcome Reiss Nelson to Fulham Football Club! Reiss is a talented young player, and we're excited that he's joined the squad on loan!“His arrival concludes a busy transfer window for the Club, and we're all looking forward to a great season ahead!"
