waste of good farmland as far as I'm concerned if the farmer doesn't want to use it for farming anymore he should sell it to a farmer that will use it to grow food not to put a solar farm on it, granted it is his land if that's what he wants to do then he should be heavily taxed for putting a solar farm on it! better yet they should be required to give a certain amount of that power to the county in which these solar fields are being put into!
