Blytheville police makes several arrests over holiday
BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (KAIT/Edited News Release) - Officers with the Blytheville Police Department took several drugs and guns off the street over the course of seven days. On June 27, 2024, officers with the Blytheville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop on the 300 block of East Davis. Officers made contact with the driver, 21-year-old Timothy Bohannon, of Blytheville, and could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Bohannon gave officers a “rolled blunt” resulting in a probable cause search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located an AK-47 underneath the passenger seat. The firearm and marijuana were taken, and Bohannon was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule VI.
