Jay-Z has reportedly been very involved in efforts to reopen the 40/40 club, hoping to bring the brand back to the forefront. Jay-Z temporarily recreated his iconic 40/40 Club for Michael Rubin's Fanatics Fest NYC this weekend (August 16-18) at the Jacob Javits Center, but it looks like that's not all he will do to revitalize the sports club chain. Moreover, an Us Weekly report claims that he will reopen the legendary venue in the Big Apple very soon. For those unaware, the original 40/40 Club in Manhattan closed in August of last year after a 20-year run. Hov once had five locations nationwide, but after their closure, the only active 40/40 brand locations at press time are an Atlanta airport bar and a Barclays Center restaurant in Brooklyn.

A Delta Air Lines flight attendant allegedly injured a passenger after hitting her multiple times with a beverage cart, the woman claimed in a lawsuit. Florida resident Gail Hamilton said she was traveling from Paris to New York on June 21, 2022, when the staff member "unexpectedly struck" her with the "loaded cart". According to the Manhattan federal court filing, the incident aboard Delta Flight 263 left the passenger "seriously" injured.

Town of New Paltz opposes Iroquois Pipeline expansion
NEW PALTZ – The New Paltz Town Board has voted unanimously to urge Governor Hochul to stop the expansion of what they call “the dangerous” Iroquois Pipeline. The pipeline company is awaiting a state decision on air pollution permits to expand what the town board said are “noisy, toxic compressor stations” in Dover and Athens that would increase the amount of fracked gas through the pipeline to New York City and Long Island.
