Reno breaks daily record for maximum rainfall, storm chances moves east with increased fire danger north
Up until recently, it’s been a dry summer in the Truckee Meadows. Hot too with 16 triple digit days recorded so far this season at the Reno Airport. This breaks the old record for July in Reno, which was 14. We had one triple digit day in June this year, but 15 in July so far. Reno also broke its daily record on July 24th for maximum rainfall, with a total of .46 inches. The old record was .23 inches, set back in 1944.
