VOTE NOW: New pet ordinance
Las Vegas (KSNV) — Starting August 1, Las Vegas pet owners will need to have their dogs and cats over the age of four months microchipped, with certain exceptions. Breeders will also be required to comply with the new ordinance and will have to ensure all dogs and cats offered for sale have been microchipped before being transported to a pet shop or sold.
