On June 30, deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Minor Run Road in Edward regarding an ongoing domestic dispute.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a fire inside an unoccupied single wide mobile home on the property and immediately requested the fire department to respond.

While attempting to extinguish the fire, an aggressive dog approached deputies in a threatening manner and was subsequently tased.  The owner was able to secure the dog without further incident.

Deputies and fire personnel were able to extinguish the fire.  This investigation is still on going.
