    Multi-jurisdictional drug investigation leads to arrest

    On July 8, 2024, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from Craven County Sheriff’s Office, New Bern Police Department, Greenville Regional Drug Task Force and NC SBI arrested 25-year-old Patrick O’Brien Coffey of Greenville, NC on multiple drug charges.  This arrest resulted from a multi-jurisdictional drug investigation into Coffey and ended with Deputies executing a search warrant on a residence in Edward, NC.

    A thorough search was conducted of the property and Deputies located and seized 48 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of marijuana, $4,890 in US currency and two firearms.

    Patrick O’Brien Coffey was arrested and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under No Bond under the following charges:

    – Felony Trafficking in Cocaine by Possession

    – Felony Trafficking in Opium/Heroin by Possession

    – Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana up to ½ Ounce

    – Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
