A beloved Beaufort dining destination has temporarily closed its doors.

Situated at 1216 Boundary St , Blacksheep cited “escalating supply chain challenges” as the reason for the closure, with reservations currently on hold, according to LOCAL Life Magazine .

However, the upscale eatery plans to reopen soon with a new concept, featuring gourmet hot dogs and adult snow cones. Teasing the changes ahead, Blacksheep’s Instagram bio now reads, “Blacksheep x Sabbatical… Coming Soon.”

Established in 2022, Blacksheep is a two-person operation run solely by chef/owner Matt Wallace and general manager Krista Duffy . Renowned for its unpretentious take on international cuisine and desserts, the restaurant offers a rotating menu of ten items complemented by a curated beer and wine selection.

Wallace told What Now Charleston that the new project is still in its early stages, promising more details next week. Stay tuned for updates.
