CDL legislation eases career path for commercial drivers
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Obtaining a Commercial Drivers License has become much easier in Minnesota. The 180-hour CDL training mandate was officially lifted July 1. Minnesota lawmakers spearheaded the initiative to address testing backlogs, allow training programs to expand, and help grow the work force. Lawmakers gathered at M-State in Moorhead on Thursday to speak about the new legislation and the impact it will have on the industry.
U of M engineers send new Minnesota flag into space
MINNEAPOLIS — Whether or not you think the design of the new Minnesota state flag is stellar, there's no denying its interstellar thanks to some engineers at the University of Minnesota.On X, the university said an engineering team sent the flag on its first flight to space. The Americana singer/songwriter released an album, One Man's Story, in January of 2024; the concept album, inspired by the storytelling of John Steinbeck, follows a Midwestern man from the age of 13 through his life to old age and becoming a widower.
