UMD alumni Curtis Cox receives Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nomination
UMD alumni Curtis Cox has been named a 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee. Cox received his nomination for a bone marrow donation. In the spring of 2023, Cox participated in UMD’s Be the Match program, where he discovered he had matched with a two-year-old boy. Cox was flown out to Washington D.C. where he underwent the bone marrow extraction, and the next day, the two-year-old received the infusion.

This program is about supply first responders with vital information to better meet the needs of the community when they are called upon.
