Dolly Parton's Imagination Library coming to Beaver County next month
NEW BRIGHTON ― A new program promoted by a country music icon is bringing books to Beaver County children starting in August. Representatives for the Beaver County Department of Human Services and The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Beaver County have announced they will officially launch Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program for children across the region. A part of the Dollywood Foundation nonprofit, the program provides books to young children each month.
Freedom Road work to begin Saturday
The state Department of Transportation is planning work on Freedom Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, according to Cranberry Township. Short-term traffic control on Freedom Road from Parkwood/Valley Forge to the Beaver County line is anticipated. Delays are possible.
