After thousands of votes casted, it is time to reveal the 2024 Beaver County Times' fall sports preseason players of the year for football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country, and girls volleyball.

    Football: Amari Jackson, Beaver Area

After more than 2,300 votes cast in the football preseason poll, Amari Jackson has been named the Times' football preseason player of the year. As the Bobcat receiver and defensive back enters his senior season, Jackson put together a campaign to remember his junior year tallying 918 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. He was also named to the Western Hills Conference's all-conference offensive, defensive and special teams.

Boys Soccer: Jordan Delon, Freedom Area

With a total of 1,690 votes, the Bulldogs' Jordan Delon is crowned the 2024 Times' boys soccer preseason player of the year. Despite Freedom Area narrowly missing the Class A postseason, finishing just behind Beaver County Christian Academy, Delon put up an impressive season netting 12 goals as a junior leading Freedom to a 7-9 overall record and a 4-8 record in section I play.

Girls Soccer: Chloe Hart, West Allegheny

Hart totaled over 1,700 votes during the past week to be named the Times' girls soccer preseason player of the year. Last season, Hart led her West Allegheny team in goals with 14 and helped punch their ticket to the postseason after finishing with a 10-8-0 record and a 6-6-0 in WPIAL Class 3A section IV play.

Boys Cross Country: Drew Steffler, Ellwood City

With over 2,600 votes cast, Drew Steffler has been named the boys cross country preseason runner of the year. Stifler was impressive last year for the Wolverines as he posted top 30 in both the WPIAL championships and in the PIAA state championships last season. In the WPIAL Championships, Stifler finished in 17th place while also finishing in 27th in the state finals. The senior also helped lead the Ellwood City to a perfect 10-0 record last year.

Girls Cross Country: Grace Bonomo, Blackhawk

Bonomo was a consistent runner for Blackhawk last season and with over 1,600 votes cast for her, she has been named the Times' girls cross country preseason runner of the year after over 4,500 votes were cast. Last season in the WPIAL Championships, Bonomo finished with a time of 21:37 to finish in 32nd place. She returns to the Cougars for her senior season with six other top runners on the Blackhawk girls cross country team.

Girls Volleyball: Haley Trosky, West Allegheny

Trosky won the Times' girls volleyball preseason player of the year award by a landslide, compiling over 3,300 votes. Last season as a sophomore, Trosky was named to the Class 3A all-section second team. As she enters her junior season, she will look to help lead the West Allegheny program as its outside hitter after the team lost many key pieces from last season.
