Pittsburgh Steelers host Chargers for Week 3; which quarterback will play?

The Pittsburgh Steelers , undefeated at 2-0, will travel to the West Coast to face the similarly undefeated Los Angeles Chargers in an early-season AFC clash.

But as Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin and Chargers Coach Jim Harbaugh formulate their respective game plans, the wildcard is the status of Steelers quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

Here's Fields' and Wilsons' latest status heading into the weekend matchup.

Will Justin Fields play?

It appears that, barring any setbacks, Justin Fields will start on Sunday.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Justin Fields was not among the players listed in the Pittsburgh Steelers week 3 injury report .

Wilson, however, was listed as a limited participant during Wednesday's practice.

Tomlin recently said he wouldn't publicly speculate on the status of Fields nor of Russell Wilson, the other veteran quarterback on the Steelers roster.

When will Russell Wilson play?

Quarterback Russell Wilson, whom Pittsburgh acquired this offseason after Wilson's buyout from the Denver Broncos, has yet to play for the Steelers.

Wilson is still rehabbing a calf injury he sustained just days before the regular-season opener against the Atlanta Falcons , and there is no timetable for his return.
