Warren County's Congressman Landsman Took To Hoops Saturday To Help Fight Youth Gun Violence
SOUTHWEST OHIO -- Warren County's Congressman Greg Landsman, who also serves a large area of Hamilton County, joined the Hamilton County Sheriff and other community leaders for a 3v3 basketball tournament to take a stand against youth gun violence at the Friars Club in Cincinnati. WC Board of Trustees confers Emeritus Status upon Boland
Wilmington College’s Board of Trustees designated Dr. James Boland as a professor of education emeritus during its summer meeting in mid-July. Boland retired in 2017 as a full professor of education after serving the College for 32 years. His time at WC also included serving as director of the Peace Resource Center and head cross country coach. In addition, he coordinated the acclaimed ProjectTrust, an anti-bullying program for middle school students.

Arkansas ribs eatery wins Rib Off for fourth straight year
Both the judges and the general public voted for repeat favorites in this year’s 40th edition of The Blade’s Northwest Ohio Rib Off. Porky Chicks BBQ, based in Fayetteville, Ark., won the judges’ choice top prize for the fourth year in a row and fifth time overall, with the non-consecutive victory having been in 2015. And O’Henrys Kitchen on Wheels, a Toledo-based food truck run by Keith Henry, took home the people’s choice award for the second straight year.
