A “one-stop shop” to connect community members experiencing homelessness to crucial services is planned for Friday near Beaverton and Hillsboro.

Organized by Project Homeless Connect Washington County, the one-day event will bring more than 40 service providers to one place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the Sunset Church, located at 14986 Cornell Road, just outside of Beaverton.

“With homelessness rates rising by a staggering 12% nationwide over the past year, collective action is more crucial than ever,” a press release from the organization stated. “This event is integral to PHCWC's mission and vision of ensuring all Washington County residents have a stable place to call home.”

All services will be free, and child care will be available at no cost for individuals who need it while they connect with providers at the event. A clothing closet and warm meals will also be available for free onsite, as well as:
