    Wake County is offering two different grants to its community. That we believe you should know about before they are no longer available. These grants are great for help to homeowners that want to continue to live in their own homes safely, as the communities in the county continue to grow.

    GRANTS BEING OFFERED:

    • The Elderly and Disabled Homeowner Grant
    • The Emergency Grand Program

    Program Details:

    -The Elderly and Disabled Homeowner Grant helps with home repairs or upgrades to assist with mobility or medical needs. Elderly and Disabled Homeowners Grants: If you are elderly and or disabled, this grant helps with modest home repairs that assist with mobility or medical needs. Some repairs covered in the grant include windening doorways, making bathrooms accessible, installing ramps and other modifications necessary to help you remain in your home full time. You can receive up to $20,000 in this one-time grant.

    -The Emergency Grant Program helps repair homes that are in immediate or near danger. Emergency Grant Program, if you are a homeowner with issues in your home causing immediate or near danger, you may qualify for the Emergency Grant Program. Examples of emergency repairs can include fixing heating systems, wells, septic tanks and roof hazards that without repairs may cause danger to you and your family. If approved, you'll receive up to $5,000 in this one-time grant.
