City Council Authorizes Notice of Intent to Enter Lease with Mudcats Baseball. According to Wilson, NC as posted on September 07, 2023, at 2:01 p.m. Wilson is closer to bringing the Mudcats Baseball team to Wilson, NC after actions were taken by the City Council members during the September 07th, 2023, meeting. Council members unanimously approved the resolution authorizing the notice of intent to start a lease with the Mudcats on a new multi-use outdoor recreational and entertainment facility.

The Gaston Police Department stated, that on Monday, June 24, 2019, at approximately 11:26 p.m. Robert Pane Hale, aka "Cowboy" was found murdered in the Hardee's parking lot in Gaston, North Carolina. A reward of $7,000 is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the suspect/s involved in this murder case.

The City of Wilson, NC will be closed, Monday, September 04, for Labor Day. Environmental Services: Monday's garbage and recycling routes will be delayed until Tuesday. Tuesday routes will be serviced on Wednesday. Environmental services will have no special junk pickups this week for appliances, bulky items, ect.
911 Call From 9-Year-Old Female Wilson, North Carolina
At 11:45 A.M. on 8/20/2023, a 9-Year-old Female caller stated, "Her parents are fighting really bad and she needs help." She stated, "Her father has been hitting her mother since yesterday." According to the child, the father brought the mother outside to continue fighting her, while the door closed behind them the 9-year-old did lock the door to keep her parents outside as she has a 2-year-old sibling inside the home with her.
Unsolved Crimes: Wilson, North Carolina: Vanished
According to the Wilson Police Department: On 11/28/2019 at 5:57 P.M., officers of the Wilson Police Department were notified that Tammy Ann Grady of Wilson, NC was missing. Her family members reported she is 34 years of age (now would be 38), and they had not heard from Grady in over a week, which is not like her. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Tammy Ann Grady was last seen at 501 Nash St. W (the heart of Wilson) Wilson, on 11/24/2019 at approximately 10:21 A.M. where she got into a cap alone and traveled down toward downtown Wilson, the 400 block of Nash St. W.
