A man evading Sherburne County sheriff's deputies in a stolen truck caused a four-vehicle crash that injured three people, one of them seriously, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

It happened just after 6 p.m. Saturday in Becker, when deputies attempted to pull over a 2017 Ram truck that had been reported stolen from St. Cloud. Per a State Patrol incident report, the driver failed to stop for the deputies and entered Highway 10 in Becker, colliding with an eastbound Toyota Camry.

In the ensuing chain reaction, the Camry collided with a westbound Kia Niro, while the Ram left the roadway and struck a Subaru Outback parked outside a local business.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 36-year-old Becker resident, received life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was taken to North Robbinsdale Hospital for treatement.

Meanwhile, both the driver of the Ram and the Kia suffered injuries that were described as non-life threatening.

The driver of the Ram has been identified as a 21-year-old man from Montrose.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the State Patrol report indicates. The incident remains under investigation.
