Survivor’s play about abuse by priest to premiere in Chester
CHESTER — The Chester Theatre Company will present the world premiere of “Unreconciled,” July 4-14 on stage in the historical Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Rd. Co-written by Jay Sefton and Mark Basquill and directed by James Barry, co-producing artistic director of Chester Theatre with Tara Franklin, “Unreconciled” is the true story of an adolescent actor cast as Jesus in a play directed by a pedophile priest, and the survivor’s journey that follows. Sefton, whose personal story it is, performs each role.

Tanglewood, Taconic Festival Blossoms; Sevenars Upcoming
The Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood opens its classical season Friday, July 5, as BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons takes center stage in the Shed with a powerhouse all-Beethoven program consisting of his supremely lyrical Violin Concerto, Op. 61 and concluding with the transcendental masterpiece Symphony No. 3 (‘Eroica'). On Sunday afternoon, July 7 Maestro Nelsons again directs the BSO, featuring the celebrated Metropolitan Opera diva Renée Fleming in an all-Richard Strauss program of operatic selections from "Die Frau ohne Schatten," "Intermezzo" and "Der Rosenkavalier."

The Berkshire Mobile Farmers Market: Bridging the Gap Between Consumers and Local Farmers
If you are looking for a place nearby to purchase fresh locally grown vegetables and staples (eggs, breads, meats, dairy products and honey) at fair prices, then stop by the Becket Town Pavilion (next to Town Hall) from 3:30pm to 6:00pm on Fridays from June 28th through October 18th. The Berkshire Mobile Farmers Market connects local farms and food producers to rural communities to provide fresh and affordable food. Becket is one of six Berkshire County locations (Monterey, Becket, North Adams, Adams and two locations in Pittsfield) where the Berkshire Mobile Farmers Market operates.

STOCKBRIDGE – Berkshire Botanical Garden presents the following upcoming programs. Music Mondays continue on July 8 with Wanda Houston and her blend of 1940s through 1960s R&B and jazz. Performances run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Food trucks will be available at selected performances. Cost is $15 members, $20 nonmembers; Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., “Botanical Oil Painting.” Join Casey Krawczyk for an exciting summer class and delve into selected botanicals with a comprehensive study of their intricate color, form and shape while creating a unique and beautiful oil painting. Cost $235 members, $255 nonmembers; Thursday, July 11, “Sunset Yoga in the Garden.” This drop-in, outdoor program, held on the Great Lawn, is appropriate for all skill levels. Classes are held Thursdays from July 11 to September 12, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and are led by Kathi Cafiero, a Kripalu-certified yoga instructor who has been teaching the physical and mental benefits of yoga for over 25 years. Please bring a yoga mat and any props you may need. No bathroom facilities are available. Free to all members and non-members, and no registration is required. Drop-ins welcome; Saturday, July 13, “Wild Edibles,” 1 to 3:30 p.m. Join Russ Cohen at River Walk, a project of Great Barrington Land Conservancy for a walk focusing on edible native plant species, including species that you might like to plant in your yard. Russ will share some samples of foraged treats, made from wild edible plants, to taste at the beginning or end of the walk. No transportation will be provided for this class. PS21 presents the U.S. premiere of Tiago Rodrigues’ ‘Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists’. Chatham, N.Y.— On Friday, July 5th at 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 6th at 7 p.m., PS21 presents the U.S. premiere of National Theater of Portugal’s production of “Catarina and the Beauty of Killing Fascists,” a Festival d’Avignon Production. Ted Rosenthal Trio returns to the Berkshires
One of the leading jazz pianists of his generation, Ted Rosenthal was winner of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition. He has released fifteen CDs as a leader, and has performed in numerous settings in the region, including a memorable set at BUTI last August. In this return engagement, his trio, featuring Martin Wind on bass and Tim Horner on drums, will perform a varied program including jazz standards, Ted's arrangements from the Great American Songbook, as well as his original compositions, including selections from his jazz opera, "Dear Erich."
Trey Anastasio Makes Good On Long-Awaited Collaboration With The Boston Pops [Videos]
Four years after they were originally supposed to collaborate, Trey Anastasio and the Boston Pops finally joined forces on Saturday in Lenox, MA. The concert at the Tanglewood outdoor amphitheater followed the Phish guitarist’s show with the National Symphony Orchestra earlier in the week and featured an identical setlist.
