Grand opening planned for new Beckley Goodwill location

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The grand opening for the Goodwill location in Beckley is scheduled for June 6, 2024.

The Goodwill, located at 4283 Robert C. Byrd Dr. in Beckley, will open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Store hours for the Beckley Goodwill location are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

For many years, the Beckley community has been eagerly anticipating a new Goodwill location. Each new store brings over 40 jobs to the area, providing employment opportunities and supporting individuals facing barriers to employment. We are proud to serve Raleigh County and are excited about the positive impact this new store will have on thousands of West Virginians.

Not only will the grand opening be held at the Beckley Goodwill location, there will also be a Mission Mobile Bus. The bus will offer training and career development, services to people in Goodwill’s twenty-county footprint in the Mountain State, and will have Wi-Fi service, a classroom, and designated career coaches.

The first few people in line will have a chance to get swag bags, and limited freebies will be available at the grand opening. There will also be a coffee truck in the morning, and a snow cone truck in the afternoon at the event, as well as other surprises.

Those who want to support Goodwill can go to the grand opening from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or visit and of the 16 thrift stores and donation centers that can be found in Bluefield , Beckley , Sophia , Oak Hill , Lewisburg , Charleston, Cross Lanes, Elkview, Kanawha City, Madison, Parkersburg, Ripley, St. Albans, Summersville, Teays Valley, and Vienna.
