Different musicians perform every Friday this summer in Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – All summer long, the City of Beckley is hosting a fun event at Word Park.

Fridays in the Park is a time for residents to kick back and enjoy food and live music.

Vendors are setting up to sell food and community resources will be available.

If it rains, Fridays in the Park will be moved to Fruits of Labor Pizzeria and Coffee Shop.

Jill Moorefield, Director of Beckley Events, said Fridays in the Park offers variety and a good time in the sun.

“They can come up to hear music. We have some different every week as far as the music goes. We have a food vendor here, at least one or two every week. We have children’s activities going on,” said Moorefield to 59News.

Fridays in the Park start at 11:30 a.m. and last until 1 p.m.

Mike Kincaid is scheduled to perform on Friday, July 5.
